ELVIRA GRAHAM

Born into a proud military family, Elvira Graham grew up moving frequently as the daughter of a Marine Corps pilot, an experience that taught her resilience, compassion, and a deep desire to help others. As a longtime resident of The Woodlands, she has become a passionate voice for causes that bring awareness, hope, and healing to her community.

Elvira’s journey with the Alzheimer’s Association began after her mother’s diagnosis with dementia in 2024. Watching her mother’s gradual memory loss and confusion has been both heartbreaking and transformative, strengthening her faith and deepening her empathy. Through her speaking and advocacy, Elvira shares her family’s story to help others feel less alone and to inspire support for Alzheimer’s research and resources.

Her mission is simple but powerful: to honor her mother’s strength, raise awareness about dementia’s impact, and remind others that love and patience remain the most enduring forms of hope.

We are proud to serve as co-chairs of the Mardi Gras Memory Ball, a cause that holds deep personal meaning for both of us. We’ve seen the profound impact of Alzheimer’s and dementia on loved ones and caregivers, and those experiences have shaped a shared commitment to making a difference. From early exposure to dementia care to heartfelt conversations with families affected, we are united in our drive to honor their stories, support those navigating this journey, and champion the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to advance research, provide compassionate care, and bring hope to future generations.

Join us in helping families across our community find hope for a future without Alzheimer's.
